The above captioned photos from instagram (updated all the time), and the following bits of whimsy, observation, and dietary documentation shall compose a blog to be updated semi-regularly by Mr Joe Novelli. This was the prime responsibility of our chief historian Captain Pierre Martin the 3rd Jr, but he found himself taken with a young lady in Columbus, Ohio, and so has temporarily laid down the reigns. But as a matter of tribute, The Captain's various relatives will on occasion be featured above and below, for nothing in the world can resist the crushing power of the Martin the III family jaws. Perhaps the only living match for those jaws would be Chuck Norris' roundhouse. Or maybe the fist behind his beard. But i doubt it.

A rousing romp southerly for SXSW3.14.2011
It's been a good while since the Captain has written, but we're tagging along on another tour while Joe performs with Saint Bernadette ... currently we are en route to Austin, Texas for the SXSW festival, stopping for merriment here and there along the way. So I'll document our travels with my usual ramblings and bitings. Yesterday we had lunch with Uncle Stevesy (creator of the legendary Astral Slide Guitar) in Knoxville, then bumbled along to Memphis for a late evening bite of BBQ (and BB Kings, as pictured below). Tonight shall find us a'roost in Dallas with friends. And off to Austin tomorrow...time to get weird. -Captain Pierre Martin the 3rd Jr.
